Giveaway!

Dear Readers,

To celebrate my 50th Reader as well as over a year and a half of blogging, I am hosting this giveaway.

Two years ago, my partner Olivier decided he was going to learn to sew. He was going to make me a dress (no less!). We found him a sewing machine; we went together to Frabricland. In the process, he found out that sewing wasn't really for him -- but I, on the other hand, completely fell back in love with it.

So Olivier got me back into sewing, but you, Readers, have been inspiring me ever since to keep sewing bigger and better. Because of you, I am more creative, more adventurous and more technical with my sewing. Most of all, you have inspired me to be more generous with my knowledge of sewing.

Thank you for reading. And thank you such an amazing and supportive community!

Giveaway

Three patterns to giveaway to three different Readers. All patterns are factory-cut and unused.

The giveaway is open to anyone, anywhere in the world. To enter, simply leave a comment bellow telling me about your main sewing goal for 2012, as well as which pattern you would like and what would make with it.

The winners will be determined on Monday, January 9th, 2012 at 5 PM (Eastern Standard Time). Good luck to all!

  2. My biggest goal is to sew more deliberately, and to use the fabric I have. It's going to be hard not to buy more fabric but I have to stay strong! Oh, and I want to get more into fitting...

  4. Congrats!

My biggest sewing goal is to use a pattern as a base to make various garments.

    Number 3 is my fave.

  5. My sewing goal is to use up some of my fabric stash and stop buying so much! I am totally in love with view B of pattern 1. I think it'd look awesome in a solid like coral or teal.

  6. My large goal is the same as last year's: learn to make jeans!
    Pattern 1 fits my lifestyle.

  7. I plan on making pants that fit! And a big red wool coat.
I'll take the Vogue 2885 if available. Thank you and congratulations!

  8. I'm determined to work on adjusting patterns more accurately rather than tweeking the garment when it's made up. I know I should do it that way round!
    The patterns are all great.
I'd like to win number 1 the blouses because I sew with my 15 y/o daughter and she'd love those.

  11. My sewing goal is pretty simple...add to my wardrobe and not buy the pieces from a store. My closet is looking pretty bare so anything I can add would be very welcome!

  12. My primary sewing goal for 2012: finish more things! I've big ambitions about sewing more for myself, not just my family members, as well. I think pattern #2 would be my first choice. Thanks!

  13. I would love to make C from the first pattern. I haven't made any shirts for myself, only skirts and dresses. I would love to learn in the new year how to make more tailored clothes.

  14. Congratulations!

My goal for 2012 is not to BUY clothing, but rather make it. I'm also participating in the Sew Weekly to prompt me to do this with some degree of success.

I really like the third option. I think it'd make a beautiful winter outfit in some light wool.

  15. I think Olivier deserves a pat on the back for getting you back into sewing - you've made some beautiful things this past year. Thanks for the generous giveaway, I'd like to enter for pattern three please. My sewing goal is to make fewer things but take my time more with fit and finish. x

  16. Olivier is so sweet. Wow, Mr.Dibs does not even look at my sewing machines. I'd like to enter the giveaway for the first Vogue pattern. My sewing goal for 2012, like Jane's, is to make fewwer outfits, with more attention to details.

  18. I just found your blog through Sew Weekly, and I'm so glad I did! Your sewing is beautiful! My main sewing goal is to take my time on every piece so that by the time I'm finished with it, it's something I really will love and will wear all the time. I'll definitely be focusing on fitting. The first pattern would be my first choice. I would make version A first, but with the neckline of B and C, and I would use the sleeves from version C to make up a coat I've been dreaming about.

  19. My main sewing goal is to finish some of the projects I've been meaning to do for years, specifically some Victorian costumes. My favorite of the three patterns is the Vintage suit. I would definitely make that into a my perfect job interview suit.

  20. I look at your blog all of the time, I'm in love with your green apples blouse! I have it pinned on my pininterest and I have a picture of it hanging over my sewing table at home. I am not interested in the giveaway, I already have too many patterns! But I will say that my goals for 2012 are to finish up my numerous UFO projects and stay up with the sew weekly challenge. It's quite a challenge for me as I've not sewn very many garments before! I'm hoping I'll get good enough to make my own copy of that green apples blouse! I really enjoy your blog thank you for putting yourself out there!
